The Ministry of Defence has purchased 96 Lukasiewicz-PIAP’s ‘Tarantula’ reconnaissance vehicles for approx. PLN 50 million. Deliveries are expected to be finalized in 2027.

The army will receive ‘Tarantula’ mobile reconnaissance robots manufactured by Łukasiewicz-PIAP. The contract for 96 land-based drones was signed on Friday in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
Łukasiewicz-PIAP has signed a letter of intent with the Military Central Construction and Technology Bureau (WCBKT). The areas of collaboration include exploring the possibility of launching joint technology lines, in addition to mobile robotics, military support systems, security technologies and crisis management.
On 3 January, information was published on the selection of the best final offer in the tender for the supply of Mobile Unmanned Reconnaissance Vehicles (MURV).
After the tender conducted since 29 January 2024, the Armament Agency has chosen the offer of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP).

Łukasiewicz-PIAP has completed the delivery of PIAP’s ‘Gryf’ mobile pyrotechnic robots for the Togo Armed Forces. This is the 27th country on the map of clients for Polish Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) robotics and the fourth on the African continent.

Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP) has prepared a mobile robotics exhibition at stand #57 in Hall D. Łukasiewicz-PIAP’s “HUNTeR” robot may end up in the ‘battalion of the future’. This highly mobile unmanned hybrid platform for rapid response tasks developed by PIAP’s engineers has already been tested on the training ground.

The PIAP HUNTeR unmanned platform equipped with the AREX ZMU-03 tower made its debut at the testing ground in Nowa Dęba during the Field Experimentation Exercises. The soldiers could practically assess the possibilities of using this armed wheeled vehicle in various tactical situations.
A team of scientists from Łukasiewicz – PIAP were awarded the IGNAC award in the “Implementation of the Year” category for the implementation of portable patrolling robots in the Polish Armed Forces. The award was presented during the largest R&D event in Poland.
During the Adriatic Sea Defence & Aerospace 2023 fair in Zadar, representatives of the Croatian Armed Forces and other guests could take a close look at Łukasiewicz – PIAP’s pyrotechnic robots, including the PIAP FENIX light robot and the largest PIAP IBIS.

The European Defence Agency has launched a research and technology project on the development of unmanned combat ground vehicles with high autonomy. Polish mobile robots have been delivered to the Special Operations Units of the Korean National Police (KNP-SOU).
