The Professors associated with Łukasiewicz – PIAP in the world lead of scientists

Professors Janusz Kacprzyk and Witold Pedrycz, associated with JAMRIS scientific quarterly published by Łukasiewicz – PIAP, are on the list TOP 2 % World Scientists Stanford.

 

Stanford University, one of the most prestigious universities in the world, has published an up-to-date list of 2 % of most frequently quoted scientists from different disciplines. A report drawn up by a team of experts led by John Ioannidis Professor of the Stanford University includes names of two Professors associated with Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP: Janusz Kacprzyk and Witolda Pedrycz.

Professor Janusz Kacprzyk, PhD, Eng is an expert in the field of fuzzy logic and application thereof in databases, fuzzy methods of representation and processing of information, systems for support of decisions and neural networks. He carries out research, inter alia, on the application of information technology and AI in modelling of systems and control. He is an editor-in-chief of JAMRIS scientific quarterly and a chairperson of the programme committee of the AUTOMATION Scientific and Technical Conference. He is also a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) where he manages the Smart Systems Workshop at the Institute for System Research.

Professor Witold Pedrycz, PhD, Eng specialises in technical cybernetics, biomedical electronics, fuzzy modelling, neural networks and computer control systems. He is a foreign member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and a Professor of the PAN Institute for System Research. He is a member of the JAMRIS quarterly Advisory Council, composed of outstanding scientists from foreign research centres.
