The AUTOMATION conference is coming soon

The AUTOMATION Science and Technology Conference will be held in less than two weeks. It is already the 26th edition of the event organized by Łukasiewicz – PIAP.

Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP organizes the 2022 AUTOMATION Science and Technology Conference “Automation – Novelties and Prospects” on 26 and 27 May 2022. It will already be the 26th meeting of scientists and other specialists from academic centres, research units and enterprises. The function of a chairperson of the Programme Committee is performed by Professor Janusz Kacprzyk, PhD, Eng, whereas a chairperson of the Organisational Committee is Stanisław Kaczanowski, PhD. The organizers are supported by the Committee for Automatics and Robotics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Association for Measurements, Automatics and Robotics ‘POLSPAR’.

The AUTOMATION conference is a recognized forum for presentation of the latest results and new ideas concerning the theory, design and application of broadly taken automatics and robotics systems. This year, the event will take place on an on-site basis and will be divided into three thematic sessions: automatics, robotics and measurements.

The following lectures will form part of the conference: Digital Transformation Towards Industrial 5.0 (Professor Okyay Kaynak – Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey), Piezoresistive pressure sensors for technical and biomechanical applications (Andrius Dzedzickis, PhD – Vilnius Gediminas Technical University) and Hydrogen and fuel cells as a solution for long-lasting missions of unmanned vehicles (Professor Magdalena Dudek – AGH University of Science and Technology).

The Programme Committee qualified 48 papers for presentation during the conference. The event will be attended by approximately 90 scientists representing more than 20 academic and research units, inter alia from Lithuania and Ukraine. Delivered lectures will be available in the 2022 Automation publication: New Solutions and Technologies for Automation, Robotics and Measurement Techniques, published by Springer Publishing House in the series Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing.

Authors of the best diploma theses – PhD’s, master’s and engineer’s, awarded and honoured in the 2022 Young Innovators competition will take the floor during a special session. The contest that pertains to innovative solutions in the field of automatics, robotics and measurements has already been organized for 14 years. 43 theses of graduates of Polish technical higher education schools were submitted in this year’s edition.
