IWIS 2023: a full set of medals for Łukasiewicz-PIAP

Łukasiewicz-PIAP’s inventions won gold, silver and bronze medals at this year’s IWIS exhibition.

At the IWIS International Warsaw Invention Exhibition, Poland’s largest international event promoting invention and innovation, the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP) received a full set of medals.

The gold went to PIAP’s TRM tactical robotic thrower, which can support operations in hard-to-reach and dangerous environments. The device maintains full operational efficiency after being dropped from a height of up to 9 meters onto a hard surface. This is yet another award for the robot which has already won, among others, a gold medal at this year’s INTARG International Invention and Innovation Fair and a Diploma from the Patent Office.

The silver medal was awarded to the robotic workstation for additive manufacturing of parts of varying sizes from aluminium and steel alloys. The bronze award went to the tool for sampling ground (e.g. contaminated) and chemical particles from contaminated areas or bodies of water, which also won a medal at INTARG this year.
