Environmental policy
Our strategy to achieve operational objectives is supported by Łukasiewicz – PIAP environmental management system, compliant with requirements of ISO 14001:2005 standard, which is implemented and continuously improved to enhance the environmental performance.
The objectives of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements regarding environment policy include undertaking:
- activities with consideration of environment impacts
- environmental activities in accordance with legal requirements
- systematic measures to mitigate negative consequences on the environment.
Implementation of these goals is ensured by:
- Fulfilling the requirements under provisions of environmental law related to processes implemented in Łukasiewicz – PIAP and identified environmental aspects, including significant aspects.
- Continuous improvement of the effectiveness of Management System.
- Carrying out activities in most environment friendly manner, and especially preventing environmental pollution
- Minimizing the amount of waste generated from implemented processes.
- Prevention of environmental damage.
- Considering the needs of environmental protection in implementation of scientific research and service activities focused on designing new products.
- Raising the environmental awareness of employees and individuals working for Łukasiewicz – PIAP.

The Institute’s management is responsible for ensuring effectiveness of the environmental management system. Quality Assurance Representative (NQ) appointed by the Institute’s Management supervises the functioning of management system. The Deputy Director for Sales and Administration Affairs supervises and coordinates the implementation of all activities in the environmental management process. Department managers ensure maintaining and improvement of EMS in areas of their responsibility. All Łukasiewicz – PIAP employees and individuals working for the Institute shall be aware of the company environmental policy to actively participate in implementation of its goals and principles.
