FANTASOS

Training extinguishing and rescue action simulator.

The aim of the project is to develop and prepare a prototype of a station of extinguishing and rescue action simulator along with training scenarios.

The Fantasos project refers to the development of a training extinguishing and rescue action simulator. The simulator will be distinguished by a two-man mode and a thermal immersion system for users. The simulator will include a few models of environs in which extinguishing and rescue actions will be carried out. The Fantasos simulator user will be equipped with VR glasses and a controller in the form of a fire nozzle; in the virtual world they will be able to move by means of an omnidirectional treadmill that will cooperate with the thermal immersion system. In one of the scenarios there will be a fire robot that will be controlled in the virtual environment with a physical controller reflecting a real console of robot Łukasiewicz – PIAP available by the Fire Service.

The virtual world will imitate the conditions at the action site depending on the training scenario. A person taking part in the training will move to the virtual world of an extinguishing and rescue action via VR glasses and headphones.
